I was born on September 29, 1964—just three days after my family arrived in Puerto Rico, having been picked up 21 miles off the coast of Cuba. This made me an American citizen by birth, and in many ways, my life felt destined for greatness from the very beginning.
Eventually, my family moved to New Jersey, where Dr. Markey of Princeton University recognized me as a prodigy in every sense of the word. He arranged for me to audition at the Curtis Institute of Music, widely regarded as the best musical conservatory in the world. There was only one opening for the organ, and hundreds of students auditioned—many for the second or third time.
I won the coveted slot on my first audition.
Since then, I have performed in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls and religious venues. My passion for music has taken me across the United States, Europe, Latin America, South America. Over the years, I have toured as an artist for Lowrey, Rogers, Allen, and Roland U.S. organ companies, as well as performed solo concerts both nationally and internationally. Music has been my lifelong journey, and I continue to share my heart and soul through every note I play.
